About Candice
Candice started this journey in 2011 with a simple sketch of a Pin-Tailed Whydah. With perseverance and dedication (and purchasing many “how to draw” books for tips and techniques), Candice became hooked on pencil drawing.
Although Candice draws in both colour and graphite pencil, the fact that the shades of grey, black and white can somehow be so much more striking than colour, makes graphite her favorite medium. Her mantra of “the eyes create the drawing” speaks through each piece.
Candice’s is also a passionate birder and enjoys travelling to wild places and escaping into the natural world.
Candice is inspired by artists such as David Filer, Julie Rhodes, Clive Meredith and Robyn Ansell.
